I'm Still Listening...

What a cute kid! My mom tells me I would sit at the piano and play and sing what sounded like real music. I remember making up harmony parts to the old hymns in the Methodist church we attended when I was but a wee lad. I especially liked the "amen" at the end of every song. I would doodle ad libs all over it. I love to make music, improvise in it, participate with it. Songs are in everything I see, everything I do. My mind is always writing the soundtrack of the BIG show- daily life. It's in me. Squeeze me and notes ooze out of every pore...hhmmm, gross. Anyway, music has been veddy veddy good to me.

I like to think about the Sound Of Heaven. I like to think it can be heard when I sing and play my songs. I wonder if the little boy in the picture could hear the Sound in my music? Sometimes, when I'm really still, I can hear him singing a celestial hymn. It sounds like Heaven. And he still ends it with "amen".
